Gerard Pique insists it will take something unique for Erling Haaland to reach Messi and Ronald’d level

The former Barcelona and Spanish defender Gerard Pique has spoken to Talkpsorts, he spoke in awe of the goat debate claim and even highlighted what it will take of anyone to catch to the pedigree of both the Argentine and Portuguese International.

Pique said

“I think he has a lot of potential but to arrive at the level of Messi and Cristiano, it’s a long way to go. He has to win so many titles, he has to do this for 15, 17, 20 years and this is not easy also. He’s very young, very promising and he has a lot of potential but still, I think he’s far away from those two.”

The former Manchester United defender empowers the Norweigen to  at least stay at his best for at least two decades should he innately want to equal the feats set by his predecessors.

Erling Haaland was the most sought-after striker in Europe but his management team did well and carefully offered him to Borussia Dortmund which is internationally noted for nurturing young talents, perhaps they were right, and in 89 appearances the deadly striker found the net 86 times.

Manchester City heralded by the famous tactician Pep Guardiola quickly ordered his service and till now he is the most feared striker in the English premier league scoring an impressive 52 goals in his debut campaign in only 53 games.

Whether Pigue is wrong or right will depend on the consistency of the Norweigian but his previous goal-scoring record cannot be put into question and maybe we will finally have someone break the duct tape of Messi and Ronaldo.
