I hope we don’t miss the remaining season – klopp rues injury hit forwards

The Germain international would have innately preferred to leave the club at the end of the season in grand style with hopes of winning the treble but a crunch tie in FA Cup defeat to Manchester United might have to dint his hopes and more especially his firing forwards all had some discomfort after the defeat.

The Reds boss lamented and is uncertain whether the boyt might come back healthy and fit after the International break.

Klopp said to¬†BBC Sport: “Now, the boys go on international duty. We hope they come back healthy. Lucho [Diaz] felt his groin, Darwin hamstring, Cody twisted his ankle. They play again in four or five days, it’s crazy. Hopefully we will finish the season in style.

He added: “The boys gave everything. Our decision-making was not great. You have to accept the result. They deserve to go to the next round.”

With 10 matches left to play in the English Premier League and with Liverpool already hit by injuries to players like Ibrahim Konate, Alexander Arnold, Diogo Jota and Alisson Becker with fears of players like Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo incurring injuries after the international break.

Liverpool the come-back kings in Europe might flatter or go on to win it at the expense of Arsenal who are known for missing out on the big occasion, Manchester City also playing the hunter-and-prey game, all separated by just a point.

Liverpool faces Brighton&Holve Albion on the 31 of March at home where the Reds fans never disappoint.
