‘I need dual citizenship in Ghana’ – Meek Mill professes



Renowned American rapper, meek Mill has again made his intent known of the need to obtain a Ghanaian citizenship

He backed his switch because of America’s oppressiveness of the growth of Blacks, he tweeted earlier this week of a desire to settle in Ghana.

“I wanna get citizenship in Ghana!!!! America made to tear black men down if you don’t follow orders!” he tweeted in an X post on March 4, 2024.

Meek Mill however holds American citizenship and will only add that of Ghana
“I need dual citizenship in Ghana I think I wanna go back and forth,” his tweet of March 7, 2024 read.

His previous visit in December 2022 was when he performed at the Afro Nation music festival.

His presence in Ghana cumulated in a visit to the Jubilee House where he met and held a meeting with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Despite courting public outrage after filming portions of a music video at the seat of government, Meek Mill who has since apologized to Ghanaians for his actions has not shied away from showing his love for Ghana.

He has over the period indicated his wish to return to Ghana and to collaborate with some Ghanaian artists, it has come to times when a lot of Americans and other blacks abroad realize that home will always be home.

He is among a host of artists who are thinking of permanently settling in Ghana because even with all the luxury and financial incentives they have never felt belonged.
