Is it a new wining team or just the misfiring Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona seems to have their winning mentality back in all corners of the footballing world, humbled Napoli at home last week, and now have repeated the feat by beating Atletico Madrdi yesterday.

Now second in La Liga and trailing Real Madrid by 8 points, a rejuvenated Barcelona side might do the impossible, perhaps come back and win it or the Champions League.

Critics are not impressed and see that their last two games were against a team that has gradually dipped in form, Napoli no longer has the force that won them the Scudetto last season in Serie A on Luciano Spaletti and Atletico Madrid was just not lucky yesterday with many saying that they have ended up exhausting themselves by Inter Milan in the Champions.

A calm Felix broke the deadlock in the first half, as he found the bottom corner to cap off a flowing Barca move and showed little hesitation in celebrating in front of the Atleti fans. Barca, though, would have to do without their manager for much of the rest of the night, as Xavi was sent-off moments later after vehemently arguing with the fourth official.

Barcelona meanwhile is still rejoicing over their win but nothing has changed in football and if there is one thing that never changes the statistics, all performance comes from the human mind, the mind therefore powers the body but it needs to be refreshed over time.

All the conclusions cannot be made now and time they say reveals all, Barcelona might eventually return to winning ways but too early to give them the benefit of the doubt.
