Legendary Mr Ibu passes on.


John Okafor popularly known as Mr Ibu has officially passed on Mr Ibu died on Saturday at the Evercare Hospital Lekki in Nigeria’s commercial capital Lagos after he had received medical attention but perhaps it was time for the soul to rest and pass on.

The legendary Nollywood star appeared in over 200 movies including the Mr. Ibu Diaries and many others, his fame as a funny actor attracted all and beyond.

Ibu underwent leg surgeries in 2013 amid fears of loosing his life, The actor was taken to the intensive care unit in the afternoon but succumbed to his illness. According to Emeka Rollas Ejezie, the president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Mr Ibu “suffered cardiac arrest.”6 hours ago

With an altruistic nature the man was born to act and could even flip the scenes when others were now preparing to, a natural-born actor who could direct his style, there is no doubt that the boy from Enugu State will grace the world with his acting ability.
