‘Natural’ Sarkodie is Africa’s finest – Nana Akomea

Michael Owusu Addo known in the main stream media as Sarkodie which translate into English as an Eagle, ever since his exposure with the last two music group seems to have the world singing his name always and perhaps he is the only artist who does not have even one bad song.

Chief Executive Officer of the Intercity-State Transport Corporation (Intercity STC), Nana Akomea has celebrated the talent of award-winning rapper, Sarkodie.

Speaking as a guest on the Thursday, February 23, 2024, edition of Starr FM’s Starr Chat hosted by Bola Ray, the politician hailed Sarkodie as Africa’s biggest rapper.

“Sarkodie is the biggest rapper in Africa, I don’t know how that chap does it but it’s magical. I can’t imagine myself going over the rhymes and rhythms,” he eulogised.

Perhaps his taste for the rap and modern music has been alive since he heard the vibes of Sarkodie who continues to dazzle even after a decade in the arena of music as he outshines all those who came together with him thus finally cementing his name in the archives of the all time greats.

He however had a taste for the old too as he mentioned the names of some of the old giants in the game of music like Amerado, Nana Ampadu and the Ga Music group Wulomei as some of his favorites.

Nana Akomea who has recently been named a vice chairman of the New Patriotic Party presidential campaign team stressed the need for policies to ensure that Ghanaians in the entertainment and arts industry earn well from their crafts.

He also hopes the future of artist in the creative industry will greatly flourish and compares it to the fellow west African country like Nigeria who continue to promote their artist and promote them internationally.
